2. Practical intervention, timetable journal
I have created the activity bellow that helped me to connect with my negative emotions, it helped me to regulate and get to know myself better. by understanding what information my emotions are communicating to me and recognising when is time to move or make a change in my life according to my values.
I started to record life events where my negative emotions strongly raised. I recorded what emotions raised, how they made me feel, what was my natural response in the situation and how I would like to respond (if my natural response to the situations is not in line with my values) in the similar circumstances in the future if they occur gain.
I believe that to connect and deal with your emotions. First you need to identify what emotions you are feeling and how they feel like within your body when you feel them in certain circumstances. Recognise in what kind of circumstances these emotions are likely to emerge. Acknowledge your natural reactions, to enable you to work and change your natural responses (if they do not aline with your values). Into how you would like to respond in situations similar to the previous ones if they occur again.
